Cheerleader (neon indian remix)

Neon Indian, crafty chill wave architect of 09's stand out Psychic Chasms, remixed Grizzly Bear's "Cheerleader." Neon Indian puts out two remixes titled "Sega Genesis P-Orridge" and "Studio 6669." Both add a jolt of electricity, removing the patience from the original.

show your grillz: mp3's for your holiday weekend

Its Memorial Day Weekend, SHOW YOUR GRILLZ (like Juicy-J).   All you weekend warriors out there, its the summer version of Christmas.  The sun stays out until eight and you have an extra day away from the cube (and for you college brats, finals are over/you graduated and you have one more weekend before the real world...enjoy).

Here are some aural presents under the proverbial Christmas (palm) Tree, a variety of NEW tracks perfect for any roof top, backyard BBQ where all the beer is bottled and clothes are optional.  (ankle deep in the plastic pool, hose in hand...who wants to run through the sprinklers!)

First time hearing about BBU, but, this song is electro beats meets dirty south group rap.  The flows are silky and the song is accessible in a non top 40 synthetic.  This song makes me want to gather a circle, get my shoulders real low, glass in the air and high step the beat.  "CHI Don't Dance" no more!

=====

New track from Grizzly Bear's Veckatimest (out the day you get back to work).  "While You Wait For the Others" is definitely for your late night sesh's over left overs, but, its an amazing new song...so grilling or otherwise spread the love.

======

Holy Ghost! remixed Phoenix's "Lisztomania."  Solid addition to keep an open aired vibe that doesn't make people feel like they should be rolling.  Not totally indie, not totally electro, but, absolutely a summer jam.

======

A little indie, island flavor for any Echo Park balcony BBQ.  Definitely good towards the end of the night.  I love Binki.

Catch Little Joy on tour this summer (minus Fabrizio Moretti, who is recording with the Strokes)
